Is GoSell free?

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

Not to start. You can photograph an item, see what it could be worth and copy a finished listing as a guest. Sign-in is only asked for at the point you buy a plan, because paid features need somewhere to save your items.

How is the value calculated?

Accepted Answer

We extract attributes from your photos — materials, hardware, construction, brand marks — and build a comparable-items search from those attributes rather than from a bare category name. The range reflects what similar items realistically sell for, and we show you the search that produced it.

Why a range instead of one number?

Accepted Answer

Because one number would be fiction. Condition, timing, location and the specific buyer all move the final price. A range tells you where to start and where to stop, which is the decision you actually need to make.

Question 5

Which marketplaces do you support?

Accepted Answer

Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay, Mercari, Poshmark and Vinted. Poshmark and Vinted only appear for fashion items — clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories — because listing furniture there wastes your time.

Question 6

Does GoSell take a cut of my sale?

Accepted Answer

No. Never a percentage, never a commission. Marketplaces charge their own fees, and we show you those up front so the comparison is honest — but the money from your sale goes to you.

What if GoSell identifies my item wrongly?

Accepted Answer

Every item goes through a confirmation step before we estimate what it could be worth. If the category is wrong, you correct it from a searchable list and the price estimate, marketplace options and listing text all re-run from the corrected category. Your item's detailed descriptor is kept, so specificity isn't lost.

What about prohibited or restricted items?

The listing step flags items that marketplaces commonly restrict, so you find out before you spend twenty minutes on a listing that gets pulled. It's a warning, not a legal review — the responsibility for what you list stays with you.

Question 9

What happens to my photos?

Accepted Answer

Photos are used to identify and value the item. If you capture from the camera, GoSell can also save a copy to your device's photo library, with permission asked on first use — and you can switch that off in Settings. There's a manual save option on the listing screen if you skipped it.

Question 10

Can I cancel a subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time from Settings. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and anything you've already generated stays copyable on the free tier.
