How it works

From a photo on your hallway floor to a listing that's ready to post.

Every step does one job and hands you one decision. Here's exactly what you do, and exactly what comes back.

Scan

Guided photos, three minimum, with a live identification confidence meter.

Know

Materials, construction and condition — then a comps-based value range.

Sell

A ranked marketplace, generated listing text and a guided hand-off.

1. Pick a goal (or skip it)

You

Choose from most money, sell it fast, moving, decluttering, estate sale, flipping for profit — or tell us you're unsure.

GoSell

Your goal re-ranks marketplaces, changes how much photo-taking guidance you see, and decides whether repair ROI is surfaced up front. You can save it as a default and change it later in Settings.

2. Three guided photos, minimum

You

Shoot from the camera or upload from your library. The AI Photo Coach names the next angle to take for your item's category.

GoSell

After each photo we analyse and update a confidence meter — red to yellow to green. That meter is about identification confidence, not value. Add up to ten photos if the item deserves them.

3. Identification, in detail

You

Confirm what we found, or correct the category from a searchable list if we got it wrong.

GoSell

We look for materials and construction, not just a category label: leather versus fabric, hide or fur accents, hardware type, tooling and hand-detailing, distinctive joinery. A corrected category re-runs the whole price estimate cleanly.

4. A value range, with its reasoning

You

See the low-to-high range and a confidence label.

GoSell

The comps search is built from the attributes we extracted, so a tooled-leather and cowhide accent chair searches differently from a generic chair. We show the query that produced the range — never a single fake number.

5. Worth fixing?

You

Photograph the damage if there is any.

GoSell

An assessment you can confirm or edit, plus estimated repair cost, time and the value uplift — so a repair becomes arithmetic instead of a hunch. Surfaced by default when your goal is flipping.

6. Marketplace and listing

You

Pick from the ranked list, then copy or publish.

GoSell

Only eligible marketplaces are shown — fashion-only platforms are filtered out for a sideboard. Then a title, description and suggested price, with a prohibited-item warning where relevant. Copying the text is always free.

7. Hand-off and cross-listing

You

Post it, one marketplace at a time.

GoSell

eBay publishes directly; everywhere else you get a guided checklist that walks you through the real form. Pro users can queue several marketplaces sequentially, pause between them, and pick the queue back up from the dashboard — including retrying anything that failed.

Where we draw the line

Things we deliberately don't do.

  • We give you a range, not a promise. A range is honest; a single number is theatre.
  • You stay in control of the actual posting. We never post something you haven't seen.
  • Every recommendation comes with its reason attached, so you can disagree with it.
  • GoSell never takes a percentage of what you sell.
